It’s Tax Season!
We wish everyone good health in 2025! We know the last few years have been daunting. Tax laws continue to constantly change and become more complex, CPAs, EA’s and other Tax Professionals are still frustrated by the lack of response and guidance from the IRS and Congress as well as the lack of competent and skilled Tax Professionals in the field. Inflation has hurt everyone in different ways. We expect this year will have its own difficulties as well but hopefully different from the past. Especially when we see what new Administration and Congress have in store for us when it comes to tax laws.
This letter will guide you through the process of making getting your tax return as painless as possible. Be sure to save all tax related documents received and any other tax related items.
The IRS has yet to announce when it will begin accepting 2024 e-filed tax returns, but we expect it to begin around January 27, 2024.
Please submit your information as early as possible. The Tax Organizer can be used to remind you of the information needed and to allow you to organize. Be sure to note any changes over the prior year to your address, marital status, number of dependents, job changes, etc. You do not have to use the Tax Organizer but at a minimum, please answer the first 3 pages of tax questions to ensure that we have all the information needed to prepare your tax returns accurately. If we prepared your returns last year, we could provide you with the tax questionnaire. If you are a new client or would like an organizer to assist you with gathering documents, please click 2024 Tax Organizer.
To ensure that your tax preparation goes smoothly, it is your responsibility to respond to our emails with follow-up questions in a timely manner and to provide us with 100% of your Tax Support documents to ensure the accurate completion of your tax returns by the deadlines. If you do not understand a question or don’t understand why we’re advising something, please let us know sooner rather than later so that we can try to better explain. We complete returns in the order they were received. When we receive 90% of your Tax Support Documents from you, only then will your return be put in the preparation queue. Please get your information to us as soon as possible to secure your place in the preparation queue.
